Sanford FL - Rockers we need your help. Please share! This is a long shot...word has it the rescue is giving up on this boy because he has been returned several times. There is a volunteer fighting to get him into a new home who will work with him and be patient with him. His name is Fleetwood and he is a 8 year old Catahoula/Dane who has spent most of his 8 years in a shelter environment. He can be selective about other dogs, particularly small ones. He’s a starting to shut down and aloof with people he doesn’t know. But he has an absolutely beautiful personality and he deserves a loving home so much. deafdogsrock/fleetwood-fl He needs a calm, stable family that is dog savvy and has the ability to socialize him and integrate him into the outside world. He needs to either be a single dog, or be with someone that will take the time to SLOWLY integrate him into a pack (he’s not aggressive toward other dogs, but due to his lack of socialization he’s gotten into trouble a couple of times – he just needs to learn how to interact properly and to trust). Fleetwood also needs someone that will continue to enforce his sign language training (which he has had, but unfortunately is not consistent in his environment). He understands Good Boy, No, and Sit – although he has had sign training, so it should be easy to refresh his memory. All in all, Fleetwood is an amazing dog that just needs the right person to find him and give him a chance. He is quiet, mellow, and extremely loyal (he’s bonded strongly to me in just the small amount of time I’ve spent with him). He loves the fresh air and sun, car rides, and spa days. He’s a lot of fun and would be a fantastic dog to have in a quiet, dog savvy household. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is located in Sanford, Fl.
