Santa Faustina’s Tarawa Tours and Activities Kiribati Canoe Sailing Lessons: Get a real sailing experience on a Kiribati traditional outrigger sailing canoe renowned as the fastest sailing canoe in the Pacific. Sailing lessons take about an hour as it includes hands on lessons for the important parts of the canoe, hands on experience on how to use them, different but interchangeable roles by the sailors, lessons on what to do in the event of capsizing or canoe overturns, confidential lesson on how to put it right in two different practical ways, safety and rule of thumb when seated on the canoe and whilst sailing. The whole sailing lessons with the actual sailing will take about 3 hours and the transfer time is around 1 hours. Therefore the whole activity will take up 4 hours of excitement in the open lagoon. This activity will finish up with a relaxed sit-in under the shade of coconut tree by the beach house enjoying the drink of the young coconut sweetness. The canoe lesson shall be conducted in Tabiteuea village which will involve going by the canoe from South Tarawa to North Tarawa. Therefore a transfer arrangement has to be organized. The trip over across the lagoon to Tabiteuea village will take 30 minutes. Note: bookings is 3 days ahead and 75% of the package price is needed to be paid upfront and also note that 50% of the package price can be deducted from the amount received if you or the group cancel the trip one day earlier but full refund can only be get if that particular day is not fine for the trip.
