Sanyu FM news The Uganda National teachers SACCO intends to start up a bank. The SACCO is in disagreement with the ministry of education on how to disburse a 25bn sh loan facility provided by the president over five years. The teachers claim they should be allowed to directly handle the money instead of channelling it through the micrifinance support center. They have resolved to halt all applications from teachers SACCOs to the microfinance support centre until the current funds crisis is ironed. The chairman of the national teachers SACCO, Stephen Nabenda strongly asks all teachers to consider saving towards a unified financial base.
