Sappy Alert: Ok so here it goes.. 2009 I graduated from Massage Therapy school and ventured out to find a place to practice..it was complicated at first..side jobs, part time jobs, so on and so on - but a sweet Mona Spencer took me under her wing and showed me the ropes, I began renting space with her and Amy Stiles and Jamie Brownlee - our friendship grew and so did my clientele but not enough to do Massage full time which was always my goal.. a few years go by and Im working full time in an office barely massaging, well I had been encouraged by mom and Justin to apply at Skelton Chiropractic for a massage therapy job, well I just didnt think they would need me or want me so I kept putting it off, until finally Justin Terry one day was getting adjusted by Dr. Eric R. Ott, D.C. and they got to talking and I ended up with an interview with Dr. Cary Skelton and was hired! This was my first full time Massage therapy position and boy was I excited..nervous..anxious..overwhelmed but above all BLESSED! I fell in love with the patients..employees ..Doctors..their families, everything was going great! I grew my clientele, expanded my knowledge of therapy for injuries and pain. I saw people walk in with canes and walkers and then later to not need them..I knew then I wanted to always be a part of the medical side of massage therapy and its benefits for pain management and relief. I worked there for 2 wonderful years..learned the business side of things..good and bad, all along I still knew I wasnt done yet, well with out me searching or looking for anything the Lord opened another door thru Mary Lewis Geddes who led me to Sissy Sullivan owner of All Dolled Up Salon & Spa where after much prayer and thought I decided to take a space rental opportunity again for the first time since I graduated..making things even closer to my all time goal of Owning my own business..the ladies there welcomed me with open loving arms.. Angel Payne Green , Jennifer Holcomb Dunkling, Suellen Johnson, Cheryl Lynn , Kelly Misko, Rebekah Rouse..definitely became like a family to me..each one a special place in my heart! *Almost thru I promise..bare with me!* I had settled in and started getting in my groove..having weekly, biweekly, monthly clients..working long days and really feeling good about the future..well of course Gods never done when you think He is.. here comes Gerane Baker and her go-getter self, she drops the bomb on me..the good kind..she offers to help me start my OWN business..you read that right..there are still THOSE people on this planet.. she knew my dream to one day have a place to call mine and came to me with a business plan I couldnt pass up.So, you guessed it folks, Im opening my own place! Chancees is coming to a city near you! I am an official business owner yall! Its so surreal, but its way real! The days and months ahead are going to be long and sometimes hard, but its definitely all going to be worth it because He has been behind every single door that has opened and he has politely closed the ones Ive came thru to get where I am today! I say allllll this to say, we NEVER know Gods full plan for our lives, the roads are bumpy the time isnt ours the devil will try to destroy every single moment of happiness..but as a sweet lady once told me.. Carla Williams, Do It Afraid sometimes you gotta just jump on it and have faith and even in the fear and in the doubt you MUST hold on to that glimmer of hope you know is there and run with your dreams and goals! I want to thank each and every one of you who have prayed for me and encouraged me thru all of this..i have been a basket case on more than one occasion and its probably not the last time..lol I could tag so many more but I just want to say PRAISE THE LORD FROM WHO BLESSINGS FLOW!
