Sar. I am Sergeant Joginder Singh. His voice was familiar and I remembered having met him about 20 years ago at an army mess on Indo-Pak border in Punjab And a photograph showing me inside Pakistan territory under cover of BSF guard opened the window in the memory lane. I was doing recce of the entire border fromKhemkaran to Gurdaspur to check the reaction to border fencing because Pakistan had criticised it. The tract was sandy and my eyes allergic to dust were bloodshot.The Co of the battalion mess where we stopped saw my eyes and said what the hell and called his Sergeant Joginder, Saab ka ilaa kar do. You wll be alright. It is our every day problem. Srgeant Joginder Singh administered to me some potion with rummy taste and I got up the next morning all well. .
