Sarah (8): Dad, why are you in a suit and tie today when its Tuesday? Me: Because I have a meeting today in Grapevine. Sarah: Why does the meeting have to be so elegant? Why isnt it like a normal meeting where you could wear normal clothes? Me: Well, I get to be chairman of the Executive Board for all the work that churches are doing all over the State of Texas. Thats a big honor. I dress like this in order to show respect for the office that I hold. Sarah: Do you know what I want? Me: What, sweetie? Sarah: I want a big billboard with a picture of you and the church on it that says, This is the pastor of First Baptist Church, and he is the chairman, and this is his wife and family. Me: Oh, you do!? Sarah: Yeah, and you should wear that pink tie. Me: Well, I think that would be good to help people know about me, but this meeting is about helping people to know Jesus. Maybe we ought to put up a billboard to tell people about Jesus. Sarah: OK.
