Sarah Hoilman (below) asked about whether or not Christians are - TopicsExpress

Sarah Hoilman (below) asked about whether or not Christians are supposed to be celebrating the Hebrew/Biblical feasts. This issue is complicated primarily because we tend to make it so. There is liberty for all Christians—Jew and Gentile alike. I submit that Acts 15 has a potent role to play in resolving this discussion. There are those Christians that express feeling led to adopt elements of the Torah lifestyle. I mean, they report being called to do Biblical feasts, to live in a Jewish way, with the wearing of tallit and the eating (or not eating) of certain foods. All of that is well and good. Really. There is FREEDOM in Christ after all! On the other hand, one should never confuse such observances as meritorious in terms of salvation. As Christians, we believe that the cross of Jesus was and is enough. Period. End of story. Someone (below) wrote our salvation is based on the FINISHED work ... and that IS the issue! Amen? After you are IN the Kingdom, by His grace, through faith in His blood, you are free to live in Christ as He reveals, as you see fit in the eyes of the Holy Spirit. Thanks all, for your inputs!
