Sarah and Logan stayed at JahFreedom Inn, Negril and this was their wonderful review My boyfriend and I stayed for 6 nights in the Guava Room at Jah Freedom. We chose to stay at Jah rather than a resort because we wanted to experience Jamaica and all it had to offer. Our trip could not have been better! And this was due a lot to Steve and his wonderful recommendations. First off, Jah Freedom is in an excellent location. It is right smack in the middle of Negril, between the 7-Mile Beach and the West End. This makes getting around very convenient. The Guava Room was perfect. Simple, clean, and comfortable private room and bath with the most amazing view of the ocean. The bed was more comfy than my own at home! We felt very safe, were able to lock our doors and there was a space to lock up our valuables. Steve has security guards at night... and the most adorable guard dog! The house is absolutely beautiful on the outside but is a work-in-progress on the inside. If you are expecting fancy amenities and chandeliers, Jah is not the place. But we did not go to Jamaica to hang out in our room all day! The porch, however, is amazing. We spent most of our time hanging there, the view is spectacular. Not only do you get a great room at Jah, you also get Steve, who is like a tour guide! He truly wanted us to have the best trip possible. Steve suggested places to rent scooters, the best beaches and restaurants. The key to our trip was the scooter rental, we were able to just get up and go without relying on taxis (which get expensive if you take them everywhere) and walking is very limiting. Steve is also a great cook and he makes the BEST blended drinks in Jamaica. Seriously. He was a wonderful host. I whole-heartedly believe that if we had stayed at a resort our vacation would not have been as good. Lucky for us, it was perfect and I cant wait to go back and stay at Jah Freedom!
