Sarah brought Hopper in today to visit with us. Boy is he looking good! His fur is beautiful and fluffy and he looks happy and healthy. Such a big difference from when he first arrived in the beginning of May last year, unable to use his front right leg because of an old untreated fracture. With his front leg now amputated, he is able to move around better, and Sarah says that there is no slowing him down! He loves to play with toys, chasing the critters in the backyard, going for walks, hanging out with his canine brother Cosmo – and counter surfing! Here’s a picture of Hopper with DCHS Veterinarian Dr. Katie Kuehl who performed the surgery. The following picture is of Sarah and Hopper with DCHS Executive Assistant Joan Byrne (left), who fostered Hopper while he was recuperating from the surgery. Thanks Sarah for bringing Hopper in for a visit, for taking such good care of him, and for giving him such a wonderful home! It was so great seeing him again and seeing him doing so well.
