Sarah here: I am working on my new book and it is my first time really focusing on something Sci Fi. I am excited to work seriously on something fantastical and grand. I find myself thinking, What would Pike do? as I write. He has been a big part of my life as a writer, his books shaping me as a storyteller in my own right. I dont write like Pike, but I do evoke him as a muse during my daily writing regimen. I also try my best to fit him into my college creative writing classes - at least once a semester :) and use his stories to inspire new generations of readers, book lovers, and aspiring writers. As we celebrate 30 years of Pike, Id love to hear how Pike has shaped your life. It does not matter how small or how grand his effect has been on your life, post it here!
