Sarangpur, January 9, 2015- Night Darshan- Its a comfortable evening, and the Darshan area is filling up slowly. The stage has been set up for a Kirtan Aradhana and the cabin is lined with DVDs. Its 10:16 and Swamishri has arrived seated on the the black back chair, feet uncovered, hands resting on a golden yellow pillow, as santo sing Shyam saluno aaviya live. At 10:18 as the santo sing, and Bapa makes his rounds, he waves a golden and white Chhadi. At 10:20 P. Gnaneshwar Swami begins to deliver parichay and live instrumentals fill the air. At 10:25 Swami ni sena plays and Swamishri continues to wave the chhadi and sets the taal. Behind him in the cabin is a screen with a changing background (images of Sarangpur Mandir, Shastriji Maharajs murti in Smruti Mandir, etc). At 10:26 P. Narayanmuni Swami introduces the computer department. At 10:38 Bapa chooses which out of the 16 camera angles we will see on the screen, he flips through a few and then P. Narayanmuni Swami and P. Vedangpriya Swami say a Prathana. At 10:41 Bapa waves a Chhadi with a small camera on it showing a close up feed on the screen, as Sevak Ame aapna swami plays. At 10:44 Bapa watches the different images on the digital screen in the cabin. At 10:46 as the Kirtan continues Swamishri waves two chhadis with a peacock feathers on them back to back. A minute later he waves a silver and pink Chhadi, then a chhadi with red and white balls on top. At 10:47 a camera is offered to Swamishri, with the strap around his neck he holds the camera, looks through the viewfinder and holds it for a bit. At 10:50 P. Narayanmuni Swami introduces the Sangeet Vibhaag. P. Madhurvadan Swami gives the parichay of the santo. In a voice were all familiar with, P. Narayanmuni Swami introduces the Kirtan Aradhana. As they begin Swamishri waves two yellow maracas. At 10:58 Bapa waves a red and purple chhadi. A minute later hes waving a Chhadi with a multi coloured paper flower on top. At 11:01 Bapa is waving a Chhadi with a red stick and a sparkly gold decorated top. A red Chhadi with a kite shaped design at 11:02 as they sing Preet puravani. At 11:03 Bapa plays the xylophone. At 11:06 they bring the Nagada in and Bapa plays it. At 11:09 Bapa sets the taal with a green and yellow Chhadi with detailed decorations. At 11:10 Bapa waves two different chhadis back to back. At 11:11 Bapa wears a set of recording headphones and continues to wave the Chhadi. At 11:13 Swamishri waves bye and heads inside as they sing Anand haiye apaar. The Kirtan Aradhana finishes and we wait for live feed Darshan to begin. Jai Swaminarayan!
