Sarasota was a geneaological stop...I was on a quest to gather more information on my fathers parents. I started with a stop by their little home. It was very rundown, not at all like I remembered. Next stop was the library to find obits. I found my grandmothers on microfilm but the film for my grandfathers obit had been taken/stolen from the library. Found grandparents gravesite, then went by the Sarasota herald tribune to see if they could find the obit, but it seems I need to contact the historical records by email or leave a detailed message. So it seems Ive gone as far as I can go until they are able to send me a copy of the newspaper. Next stop Tampa and the Amtrak back to DC.
