Saratoga is a 5-year-old flashy fawn female who weighs about 50 pounds. She has a cropped tail, full ears and four white socks. This girl was surrendered to a shelter in Dallas with her daughter and her owners said she’s had two litters of puppies. Her foster mom says her maternal instincts really show – she loves puppies and is great about playing with other younger boxers. Sara recently lost her foster home due to illness in the family so she is available to foster or adopt. Shes a little overweight right now, but that doesnt stop her from easily climbing out of a 6 foot fence, so she would definitely need to be in a home where she can be monitored when shes in the yard or walked on a leash. Saratogas mantra is “play, play, play!” She would do best in a home with other dogs her own size that can handle her style of play. Shes a little too excited about cats to live in a home with them and she would do well in a home with older children as she might be too rambunctious for preschoolers. Her ideal forever home would also give her lots of opportunities for walks and help her brush up on her manners. Saratoga loves to go on hikes and happily meets other hikers with a wagging nub and hugs. Shell give you a hug if you ask. She walks nicely on leash except for a bit of squirrel excitement. Saratoga is happy and sweet with just a bit of that special Boxer snaggle tooth. Saratoga is heartworm positive but ABR will pay for her treatment once she’s adopted.
