Sarpanch locked CAPD store in Chatroo. Supply of rotten food grains to public in government run depots Kishtwar July 22:- Infuriated over lack of response from administration,President Sarpanchs Association Chatroo in Kishtwar District in order to show his anger over the distribution of rotten food grains andration among the people of Rathal Panchayat and its adjoining areas double locked the government run Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department depot at Rahalthal Chatroo. In a statement Sarpanch Rahalthal Tariq Hussain Wani said that large number of people was complaining him about supply of sub standard ration to them from CAPD depot. He said that in order to verify the public complaints, he along with local people rush to the spot and after verification, the public complaints were found genuine. He said that during checking, the food grains being provided to the public were rotten and added that the worms canbe clearly seen in stock of food grains. He said that foul smell was also emitting from the stock of the found grains meant for public distribution. He said that after verification of public complaint, he in presence of local people double locked the said government store Tariq said he has brings the matter into the notice of Former Minister and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and said that Mr. Saroori has assured them that he will take up the matter with officials of the CAPD department. Saroori has also said that Public distribution system has gone for a toss in Erst while district Doda.
