Sass Halter Training Vid 1. Feel free to laugh at Sass and my misfortune, it was stressful but productive. Ideally, halter wouldve gone on, tied to tree then some leading lessons. BUT, Sass has taken an immense dislike to the halter and getting it on her has been tricky. We are making progress though. Halter training is essential as she will live her days out here and this pampered poddy needs a few lessons in manners. **Please keep in mind** We started at the tree we ended up at. Sass took off before I got the halter on which unfortunately I didnt record. Then I was trying to catch her and get her back to that tree for tying (its near the house and a safe zone) - but she didnt want a bar of me after trying to capture her lying down multiple times. I ended up getting the halter on, tying her near the dog pen for a few minutes whilst I got grain/chaff, then eventually got her back to the tree of patience. We finished todays session with Sass standing quietly chewing her cud, before being led (fairly willingly) back to her yard with a treat.
