Sat 18/10/2014 CHALLENGES OF THE ANOINTING 1 Acts10:38; Matt 13:31-32 The anointing of the Holy Ghost is the power of God at work in a believer. Without this power, every believer will be stranded at the point of confrontation with the devil. In the midst of the believers God chose some people to stand in the five fold ministry. Eph4:11-“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers” He also called some to the ministry of help to aid those in the five fold ministries and He gave each a corresponding anointing to aid the work He has given to them. That anointing is a spiritual lubricant that takes away demonic frictions and enhances your performance in the calling that God gave to you. If you run your calling without the anointing of the Holy Ghost, you are going to be a misfit and an embarrassment to the calling. The major thing you have to prove your calling and convince people that God called you is your anointing, and if you gamble with it like Samson did, you may become irrelevant while still actively in the ministry. Looking at our world today, the number of men of God losing their anointing is becoming large and alarming. Several people are only pretending on the pulpit. There is nothing good that does not have its challenges. When anointing of the Holy Ghost is upon you, heaven’s attention is on you because they are counting on you to represent God on earth, hell is let loose on you because you will liberate those they have kept in captivity and earth is also looking unto you for deliverance from the oppressions of the devil, so you discover that anointing of the Holy Ghost exposes you to several things, but in all these, The One that anointed you is right beside you to strengthen you. Anointing is so glorious that wherever you get to, you are recognised immediately. People reverend and honour you and want to associate themselves with you; little do people know that anointing has its own challenges. If not properly trained and cultured, one can easily enter into the pitfalls of the anointing. As anointing is granting you access into the heart of men, open doors and blessings, so also don’t forget devil is also building his cohort to fight you. You must not be ignorant of the vices of the enemy. The carrier of the anointing cannot be too careful because that is your point of relevance, if you lose it, you are a living dead. You will not become outdated in Jesus name. PRAYER POINT: Father, I appreciate the dimension of anointing you gave to me, I refuse to lose it in Jesus name.
