Psalm 20:7 If you must be victorious in lifes battles,yu must call on the name of Jesus purposely,deliberately,in faith & wit lots of expectations. Some people use the name of Jesus witout honouring Him; no wonder the name hardly works for them. If they miss a step,they shout Jesus! If the tea burns their tongue,they shout Jesus! If someone touches them from behind,they shout Jesus! The name has become an exclamtion mark. Before they speak for 3mins,they will call the name several times devoid of honour. If yu want the name to work for yu,yu must learn to call it wit purpose,respect,honour & humility. One of the things God frowns at is using His name in vain. Exo 20:7 says, Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Ordinarily,yu do not call the name of your father/mother anyhow. yu call it wit some sense of respect & honour. If yu do so to mortals,how much more shuld yu treat Gods name wit reverence? Psalm 111:9 Gods name must be highly revered above all others because Phil 2:9-11 says it has been exalted above every other name. Do yu know dat the way yu call the name of Jesus indicates whether yu have the fear of God or not? A wise person wil call the name of Jesus wit lots of fear & worship. If yu call him like yu are caling a servant,if He answers at all,it wil be out of mercy. Many of us canot call Gods servant the way we call God. Wat an irony! Repent & adjust today. Begin to attach honour,fear & reverence to His name. KEY POINT When it comes to reverencing God & wat He stands for,we can learn from the devotion of idol worshipers.
