Sat. Update on Russ Slinkard - its been a whirlwind couple of days. This place is amazing! I cant begin to describe our days here. So far, we have had hour long (or longer) consults with our Primary Physician, a Rheumatologist, two Pulmonary Specialists and an Infectious Disease Specialist. Russ has had blood tests, x- rays, an ultrasound on his throat and others. Its been long days of going from one floor to another. There are two buildings, 19 floors and a Subway level. Weve been on most of them The best news so far is the fungal pneumonia hasnt spread outside the left lung! Praise the Dear Lord! The Infectious Disease Dr. changed Russ medication since the current one is not working. The Rheumatologist changed the way Russ takes the Prednisone to even out the dose. Overall, we are very hopeful things are on track for healing. We have more appointments next week. Please continue to keep Russ in prayer. We love you!
