Satan doesnt have any new tricks. He knows our triggers and what to whisper to us to bring us down. They are not eloquent words, just small words to remind us of our shortcomings. Words that trip up our human flesh with envy and that allow us to forget who we are and whose we are. I wrote in my book that I have adapted a new perspective in my life regarding our infertility. I am so grateful that God knows what He is doing! But Im going to be real and say that more often than not I have to keep that perspective in check because Satan does know how to make us want for things. Adam and Eve had everything they ever could have needed in the garden but the serpant slithered in and birthed the want. Today I had the opportunity to share Xanders story and our journey of adoption and even though I have shared the same story countless times, I became emotional. I teared up as I was reminded once again that Gods hand was in each and every detail of his life before I even knew he would be mine. Im so thankful for the hope I have in Christ and those beautiful reminders that I dont have to live in the want. God will give me what I need and Hes got my back. Its hard, Im not going to lie, and thats why I felt compelled to share this. I hear comments, read facebook posts and see pregnant women everywhere! But Im grateful that even when Satan is trying to fill my heart with envy, God is there to extend me grace for my emotions and to give me glimpses of His miracles. Whatever you are facing, infertility or something else, God does care. It may not seem like it or feel like it because of the unfairness of the situation but God always has His extended hand to us. Its up to us to rest in Him and not listen to the lies of the enemy. But as for me it is good to be near God. I have made my Sovereign Lord my refuge. Psalm 73:28
