Satan is a liar, he is the father of all lies. The only thing is, his lies are sugar coated. They seem to be the truth. They look quite appealing. They seem to give us the best of both worlds. He is out to destroy marriages and families. He wants us to believe that the best is still out there. He wants us to believe that we are number one. He wants us to believe that our wants and our needs should be the most important. To heck with our commitment to our spouse or our family or, more important, our commitment we made to God. I was 25 when I divorced after 7 years of marriage. The lies I believed about myself after that still crop up every once in a while. Satan tried, and succeeded, to make me believe that I wasnt good enough, that I would never be good enough, that nothing I did would ever be enough. Of course, it was a lie, but a well thought out lie, a well placed lie when I was already lower than low. God says something different. God says we are beautiful. God says we are made in His image. God wants us lifted up. Satan wants us broken down so we are of no help to anyone. 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
