Satan will be completely defeated Until that future day of complete victory and eternal bliss, people of faith may still experta thorn in the flesh, the messenger of satan to buffet us. This thorn may not yield to prayer, no matter how great our faith, unless we realize that Gods no is also an answer. People of faith may not have adequately clothing or food . They may even die for their faith. Still we may live in the victory Christ has provided. We might experience all kinds of circumstances but that doesnt mean God no longer loves us. Nor does it mean satan has gained victory over us. Even in our suffering we are more than conquer. Christ heel was bruised but on that cross that serpent was given a deadly wound from which he will never recover. Since we are in Christ, we share in His victory over satan.
