Satin and I were over at Dads today for his weekly visit with the Hospice nurse Karla. His BP was still down and his oxygen still at 98%. Pulse and resting respiration were also not bad. He is still experiencing the dizziness, but when he lays down it goes away. There are a few little things here and there but nothing to mention now. Otherwise he still isnt doing too bad. He needs to be drinking more water or water based items and less soda, coffee etc so his cells retain the liquid. So, we went to the store for a few things and also got some flavor packets to ad to his water for flavor and he started drinking more water. Swelling in his legs is pretty much gone now too. He and I also went to run a few other errands to tie up some other loose ends with things. After that, He Mom and I went out to the China Restaurant and had a nice lunch before going back to their place. Mom likes the variety there and ate very well. He also got a call from his brother Gary who keeps up regularly. Dad loves hearing from his siblings and extended family and sends his love to all of them. Next Tuesday when Karla comes to see dad again he will be re-certified for another 90 days hospice. Yes, we will have had him around for 3 months now. It is a real blessing and the longer the better. Pics below - 1) Mom and Dad heading into the China place, 2) Dads plates of goodies, 3) Mom getting ready to enjoy her plate of food. Yes, she finished all of it. and 4) Dad in the store afterwards.
