Elsewhere, sunny spells and wintry showers, mainly in the north and west, organising into bands at times and giving further snow accumulations, especially over hills. Remaining cold. Tonight: Wintry showers, especially in the north and later northeast, bringing further snow accumulations, possibly to low levels. Patchy rain or hill snow possible in the south. Frost, with ice risk.
