Saturday 19th July...what a day.....started by judging a good Novice ROR class at lovely Bishop Wilton show then rushed home to catch our flight to Bergerac for a week relaxation. Ten hours later we arrived home in Hambleton after a thoroughly miserable time spent in Leeds Bradford Airport being messed around by Jet2. First we are told the flight is delayed by 3/4 hr which we put down to the bad weather but eventually find out our aircraft is grounded due to a technical fault and a replacement one is being flown in. At 8.15 pm we board this plane then sit for another hour while engineers scurried around removing dead birds from the engines....beginning to feel very uneasy especially when they start changing the wheels and the pilots start coming out and chatting to the passengers. At 10pm we are told the plane cannot now fly as Bergerac airport is shut..e back tomorrow. Not feeling very confident now thinking of taking the boat!
