Saturday 21.9.13 League Challenge Cup Rnd 2 Ben Sandiman opened for Hilton at home to Alsager, Lee Sherlock equalised before Josh Gregory put Hilton ahead into the break. Dannie Biegus equalised in the second half with Gregory adding his second to keep the home side ahead. Tom Storer brought the score level again but an 87th min strike from Stuart Lyle saw Hilton into the next round. Visitors Ball Haye Green opened at Newcastle Town on 10min through Mitch Cartiledge, Mike Keates added a hat trick with goals on 25, 40 & 50min without reply from Newcastle. Redgate opened on 15min at home to Cheadle Town, Jake Alcock equalised on 23min but a goal for Redgate on 25min from Andrew Sherratt followed on 36min by a third from Wayne Glover saw Redgate ahead at the break. Jimmy Gardside increased the lead with a goal from the spot on 48min for Redgate. Cheadle went down to ten men on 52min with a player sent off for his second yellow card. Dave Ashley scored on 59min for Redgate and Bennett completed his hat trick adding goals on 70 & 81min. A goal each in the first half from Ashley Moran and Liam Shaw for Wolstanton gave them a place in the next round ahead of Hanley who replied with a goal from the spot in the last minute from Nick Glover. Leek Cup Rnd 2 Aaron Protaszczak opened for Abbey Hulton on 15min at home to Hilton Harriers, Tony McCabe followed with a second on 23min before Simon Meredith pulled a goal back on the half hour. McCabe added his second on 70min and Josh Tune replied for the visitors on 75min. Shane Lindop signed off for Abbey with a brace (82/88 min) to go into the next round. Visitors Milton opened at Whittington on 12min through Tom Lally, team Captain Lee Charles equalised from the spot before adding a second. Daniel Allsopp increased the lead with a third before the break. Second half singles came for Whittington from Chad Baker, Steve Wilkins & Sam Moylan to secure a place in the next round with a Nathan Moses goal in reply for Milton. Ross Perry opened for Brereton Social on 9 min at home to Knypersley, adding a second on 15min. Knypersley saw their keeper sent off on 23min for tripping a player and Sam Chandler scored from the spot for Brereton as a result. Perry made it four nil with his third on the half hour. Ryan Taite increased the tally on 51 min before Lee Washington scored on 62 min for the visitors, Shaun Mountford added a second on 83min to see Perry score his forth on 87min. Nick Reynolds scored the only goal of the game in the second half for Longton AG at home to Cheadle Town. Milton opened at home to Betley in the first half with a goal from Martin Kerr, Gareth |Birks added a second after the break before Lewis Jackson pulled a goal back for Betley. Uttoxeter scored eight without reply at home to Longton to secure a place in the next round. Thomas Harvey and Dave Crutchley scored a hat trick each along with a goal apiece from Ryan Metcalf & Nick Longdon. President’s Trophy Rnd 1 Ashbourne went into the break four goal ahead at home to Norton and added two more before Norton Replied. An OG was the opener followed by a single from Paul Etherington and two from Calum Woolley. Singles from Nick Birds and Shaun Millward came after the break before Greg Bradick, Marcus Thorpe, Chris Nellis and Matt Trevett replied for Norton. A hat trick from Matt Redell for visitor Bradwell went without reply from Cheadle SMU and gave them a place in the next round. Visitors Stapenhill opened at Foley on 7 min through Josh Hughes, his second followed on 37min. Scott Waltman increased the lead on 65min before Hughes completed his hat trick on 69min. An OG on 80 sealed a place in the next round for Stapenhill. Chris Darlington opened for Silverdale at home to Redgate in the first half and added a second after the break. Paul Lovatt made it three before John Wright scored a consolation for Redgate. Premier After a goal less first half visitors Uttoxeter opened on the hour through Matt Redshaw, Jordan Beech equalised on 75min to share the points. A first half strike from Nathan Calvert gave Florence the lead at home going into the break against Abbey Hulton. Josh Graham equalised before David Iacono put the visitors ahead. A goal in the last five minutes from Joe Wooliscroft saw the points shared. James Playford opened for Keele at home to Norton in the first half. John Hughes equalised and added a second after the break with a third coming through El Shaddia Bent to secure the points for the visitors. Kidsgrove opened at home to Eccleshall on 18min through Dave Shaw. Jordan Alcock equalised on 33min before Joe Grant put Kidsgrove ahead on 39min. Shaw increased the lead with his second on 52min but saw a second from Alcock on 73min along with an equaliser on 84min from Jimmy Wildman. Spencer Byatt scored the winner for Kidsgrove on 86min. Division 1 A goal each from Cooke and Massey in the first half gave Congleton Athletic the lead into the break against Hall Heath. A goal each from Hinks and Wilson saw the points shared. MMU scored four at home without reply from visitors Sandbach; a brace from Andrew Horbury along with singles from Daniel Russell & Aidan Denver. Division 2 Mike Woolley opened for Betley at home to Hawkins but a hat trick for both Nick Hodgkiss & Marco Faraci along with singles from Tom Lowe and Darryl Francis saw the visitors take the points. Two goals in the last ten minutes decided the very close game in Featherstone’s favour against Leek CSOB, Craig Sudlow and Benjamin O’Meara scoring for Featherstone. Daniel Dwase opened for Tunstall Town giving them the lead into the break at home to Stone OA. Matt Wood came out after the break and scored a hat trick and Sam Fairs added a single to turn the game in Stones favour.
