Saturday 25th October It was an historic day for St Brendans as we managed to get out three senior sides for the first time in over 25 years. The thirds took on a strong and well organised Bishopston 2nd XV. Despite losing 40-7, the young side battled well, and with more gametime together will soon be capable of beating other third teams in the Bristol Combination. The seconds took on St Bernadettes 2s, and in a very physical encounter lost 19-15, after a well executed late try from the opposition. The side competed fiercely all game, but werent quite able to play with the fluency of which they are capable. Meanwhile the firsts took on Ross on Wye in a top of the table clash. Ross proved to be strong and committed opposition, but the firsts were on fine form, controlling the breakdown, and thus the game, in a high class performance. With 8 players from the colts playing in the second and third teams, and the squad starting to fulfil some of its potential these are exciting times for the club, built on the hard work and commitment of the coaches, players, managers, and everyone else behind the scenes. Bring on next weekend!
