Saturday Devotion on Serving "If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly." -Romans 12:8 Each of us has a spiritual gift(s) we were born with. We have an inherent ability to help others in a unique and profound way. When we share our spiritual gifts with others, we glorify God. To find out what these gifts are, spend time in prayer. Ask that the Lord grant you insight as to how you can best serve Him. Think about what special gifts you bring to those around you. Are you a good listener? Do people feel better after talking things over with you? Do you enjoy helping people heal after being emotionally wounded? Are you the hard worker "behind the scenes" who enjoys setting up or cleaning? Do you have a generous heart and your greatest moments of joy comes through giving to those in need around you? Discover your spiritual gifts, then use them as you "Let your light shine before men" (Matthew 5:16).
