Saturday Night:: Aug 2, 2014:: A few days ago we put our a plea for ALL THINGS BABY (clothing high chairs, play pens, cribs etc) . =We have had a fair response (Thank you FOXCROFT VILLAGE RESIDENTS for stepping up for this URGENT need). Jackie Murphy is collecting baby clothes in that complex so if anyone else over there would like to donate, please contact her and she will arrange for pickup. We still need Cribs and clothing, playpens and car seats. If you can help, please let us know . Many babies coming, everything is so expensive, we would like to help all the mothers-to-be who seek our help, very hard to do ! Julie Sandoval is again under the weather, please keep her in your thoughts and in your prayers. She perceives herself a tough bird but in reality , is human just like the rest of us and needs some healing and some rest. She is at home . A card or call would be nice, message me for her contact info. John Drobysh and John Picarello have again proved to be the Knights in Shining Armour of this group ! Friday all day, JD collected items for our group,part of Saturday as well. I love you guys ! Even though I browbeat you at times, I appreciate and honor every single thing you do for this group, for me and for the good of the community. Monster Run in Monticello early tomorrow morning, see yall there !! EARLY, 8:00 am, come out & support this wonderful effort, proceeds to go to the Fed for the Homeless Anyone out there have a movie projector you are not using?? If so, I know a group who would be delighted to get it, ordered one for their org and it came incomplete, would love to be able to help them with another one to use till they get what they ordered. (on back order)..let me know, I know this is a stretch, but hey !! Ya never know unless you beg, er, I mean ASK !! lol I seem to have misplaced my list of folks waiting for beds, if you have asked me in the past 3 weeks, please let me know again, have to create another list, these things happen occasionally so I am not going to stress on it, instead , just start over The Childrens Book collection has been EXTREMELY successful, more so than I imagined it would be. !! thanks to the generosity of many many people Maxine Pedro, Tina Krum, Tammy McIntosh-Johaneman, Rena Kalanick and many others ( that is who comes to mind at the moment, I will add the rest of you as you pop into my head, you know how I am !! SCRAMBLED BRAINS !!! ) Anyway, thanks to your help, we were able to distribute 300+ CHILDRENS BOOKS at the Federation for the homeless this past month !! YAY ! YAY! BIG FAT YAYYYYY !!!! Reading is the key to beating social negativity, thank you all, your generosity is now in the homes and the hands of the children of SC, and it does not get any better than that !! TOGETHER PEOPLE !! We did it !
