Saturday November 9 The biggest day in Tiger sports this year sees five Tiger teams in action. Away Looking up and down the psych sheet for todays South Sectional meet, theres a recurring theme: the presence of Tiger swimmer or relay team in almost every event. GIRLS SWIM & DIVE (10-1) re-wrote the record books last week at the Bay State Championship meet and will look to continue what has been a historical season with a spot on the podium. The meet starts at M.I.T. at 9:00 AM. BOYS (11-0) and GIRLS XC (9-2) will send seven and 10 runners respectively to the Eastern MA Divisional XC Championships. For the boys, the meet is an opportunity to continue their dominant season and add another title to the resume after winning Bay States last week, while the girls will be aiming to seal a spot for All States next week. The meet starts in Wrentham at 9:00 AM. GIRLS SOCCER (17-0-2) is exactly where it wants to be. With a spot in the State tournament semi-finals on the line, the Tigers take on Dual County side Acton-Boxboro (15-2-3). The Colonials will once again be looking for the upset, having beaten no. 1 Catholic Central to earn their Sectional final spot. Kick-off at 4:30 PM at Manning Field in Lynn. GIRLS VOLLEYBALL (18-3) already took out number one. Might as well eliminate number two. The Tigers will face the second seed North Quincy (19-3) in the Central-East Sectional final, with the winner advancing to the State semi-final. The two sides have a history, as North eliminated the Red Raiders in the Central-East Sectional semi-finals 3-0 on the way to the State title match. The game will start at 5:00 PM in Hudson.
