Saturday Sept. 28 is the wildly successful Apple Festival in Cornish. All of downtown is blocked off, and vendors of all sorts are here selling everything from 100% made local canvas totes to jewelry to face painting to apple fritters. The festivities kick off at 8 a.m. with a 5k road race. Plenty of food and entertainment; including a real old-fashion apple pie contest open to anyone. All that said, I would like to pique your interest for lunch or dinner with a couple of new Left Coast specials for the weekend. We will be serving wild-caught cedar planked Salmon: also, have some fun with Alaskan Dungeness crab clusters. These crabs are junior brothers of the King Crab, but eat just as well.
