Saturday (September 27th) Update: Today was the first day Nicolas has been in a car. Today was the first day he spent any real amount of time outside or been around a large group of people. He handled it with grace and patience and humor. It was great to see him in a normal situation behaving in a normal manner. I am also very pleased to report that he has his humor. Hearing testimonies of other brain trauma patients and the lack of emotion or humor they experienced, it was really an answer to prayer to discover that he retained his.
