Saturday early on my way to Momma update: (emotions revisited) Tenderly, she moves me to silent tears, as memories flood the silver screen of my mind in cinematic high definition quality, Dolby digital sound, every frame, impeccably crystal clear, each utterance blended in the mix with a tweaked clarity of angelic voices. The magic of imagination tends to enhance the otherwise mundane and lackluster and at times like these, magic is optional. Gratitude is the fire keeping me warm, for I am somewhat excited with the prospect of Mommas journey being irrevocably relevant to someone other than myself. She looks so innocent right now, a childlike softness as her breathing, steady and reassuring, relaxes my own anxiety, freeing me to drift in and out of dreams. Mommas love, unequivocally unparalleled is the featured presentation, grateful am I to have been so blessed to have had this seat in the theatre of fondest recollections, academy award winning performances to be heralded and hopefully emulated by generations to come. The here and now, soulful and complete, Heartbeat to heartbeat, As I watch her sleep, I man the pump with a promise to keep. What lies before us, God and Destiny. Im loving you Momma without boundaries. I would like to share one such memory... This song was written for my Mom 30+ years ago. Listen and share please. Mothers Song She has a heart of gold, size beyond compare. She has courage and strength thats exceptionally rare. And the weight of the world,is sometimes more than she can bear, yet she stands tall, she wont fall, shes truly a woman. And I know, shes gonna see a better day, somehow, someway, a better day is coming to you Momma. Shes been mistreated, in so many ways, each days a challenge, but those are the dues she pays. And though I love her deeply, I too, have been wrong, when neglecting her feelings, yet she remains just as compassionate. And I know, shes gonna see a better day, somehow Ill make a way, for your better day. Keep her holding on, Lord keep her strong. For all shes done, shes my number one. I love you Momma. ©1978 Michael Welch This is one of the very first songs I ever wrote. My Mommas better day, is soon to come.
