Saturday evening May 15, 2010. Near the conclusion of The Hall Of Fame Banquet the agenda called for incoming District Governor Matt Branstetter to deliver his acceptance speech. In the early part of the speech Matt said ...my club Early Risers was failing and Len Coffey and I decided we were not going to let it fail... That may have been the first time I heard the name Len Coffey mentioned - but certainly not the last. At the June TLI in Tulsa Matt gave the same speech and again there were the same two words Len Coffey. Matt said he and Len Coffey decided to switch about being President of Early Risers until the club got on its feet. Since the two made that commitment to each other and to the club, Its been something like 14 years in a row that Early Risers has been Presidents Distinguished. Unbelievable!! Kris Huffman might be the best speaker in the club, but if he is, Len Coffey is the best Evaluator. Len Coffey has his DTM and raises the bar high for anything he is involved.
