Saturday morning cartoons were a staple of my childhood. Looney Toons were incredibly influential to my developing sense of humor. I sat and watched Thundarr the Barbarian with my father if he was home. I looked forward to the primetime special which previewed the new line up. And I especially couldnt wait for the between show episodes of School House Rock which taught my sponge-like brain without my even being aware of it. Before cable, it was the one time during the week devoted to us; just for kids. Saddened to see it go.
