(Saturday morning update)-- Latest track takes Julio about - TopicsExpress

(Saturday morning update)-- Latest track takes Julio about 170-200 miles north of the islands. Still need to watch because with Iselle the track slid a little more south than originally showed by the cone. The arrival of Julio to our north will likely bring us rain and big surf... With latest model guidance, it does not appear to be a threat as making landfall but there is the potential we can see outer edge of it if it slides a bit south, so with any tropical system we will have to watch carefully. Large swells generated by hurricane Julio are expected to produce building surf along most north and east facing shores of the main Hawaiian islands starting tonight, and continuing into early next week. Right now Iselle is still bringing rain to Kauai... A flood advisory was extended.
