Saturday night ACI celebrates our 25th Anniversary at our Spring Gala - and stories like the one below highlight what weve been saying since our inception - People are best able to manage their own lives. Given access to information and support in thinking for themselves, people are capable of deciding for themselves what is best. The story recounted below by Chris Schauble, morning TV News Anchor for KTLA, Los Angeles, is being repeated in hundreds of variations by thousands of people who were adopted and who are unwilling to stay divorced from the genetic side of their extended family network - all the time. Everyone has the right to embark on their own journey of personal discovery and the right to discover for themselves where ever that road leads. Everyone is entitled to take part in shaping their own life story and looking into their own roots if they so choose.
