Saturday snow? | First, I truly appreciate all the kind remarks as I attempt to get over strep throat. Its still raspy, but Im going to give it a shot on-air tomorrow. Secondly, many of you are asking about Saturdays snow potential. To that, I would like to cautiously add that at least some accumulation is possible Friday night into Saturday. Please understand Ive spent more time sleeping than model crunching the last few days, however, if you recall on Monday I said the southern storm track looks to be getting more active for the second part of the month. Based on what little Ive seen, the GFS and NAM are hinting at a few inches of snow Friday night into Saturday. The Euro is signaling more (as usual). I urge you to NOT treat this post as a forecast as I have had limited access to data the last two days. Instead, please watch Georges First Alert Forecast tonight at 5, 6, 10 and 11. Ill pick it up overnight and have more on Daybreak. Theres a robust clipper to watch in the Sunday night/Monday night timeframe, too. See you soon, --Jay
