Saturdays SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK shows NO Severe Thunderstorms organization anywhere across the Nation. Additional storm development could occur later this afternoon over the Piedmont and the Coastal Plains of the Carolinas. Once again, no organized severe weather is expected. Saturdays NATIONAL WEATHER FORECAST SUMMARY by Dave Saurer: The pattern across the Nation is starting to appear a bit quieter than the last few days as a frontal boundary extending from New England and trailing Southwestward into the Lower MS Valley and Western Gulf Coast will finally begin to sweep off the Eastern Seaboard by tomorrow morning. The moisture continues to stream along the frontal boundary will continue to produce areas of light to moderate rain showers along the Northeast corridor and into the Ohio Valley that will begin to taper off to the East Coast by late in the evening, tonight. Showers and thunderstorms are expected over the Tennessee Valley and Central Gulf Region will begin to also move off the Southeastern Coastal sections by tonight. Patches of rain and possible freezing rain and snow could develop across portions of Northern New England for today. As return flow off the Western Gulf of Mexico could produce some light rain showers for portions of Southern Texas for the day on Sunday. Elsewhere, we are watching the energy wave off the Pacific Northwest coast that will stream inland to the Northern Plains by tomorrow evening. This energy will induce a frontal boundary over the Northern Plains that will then sweep into the Upper MS Valley and Northern Plains by tomorrow evening. This energy will develop pockets of rain showers for portions of the Pacific Northwest and will then extending into the Desert Southwest by late tonight. Snowfall is expected to develop across portions of the Northern sections of the mountains to parts of the Central and Southern Rockies by this afternoon and ending by tomorrow afternoon. As the developing storm system moves into the Northern Plains, areas of developing rain showers and freezing rain will begin over the Upper MS Valley for tomorrow. By Sunday PM, snow will then develop and spread across the Upper MS Valley and into the Northern Plains. Additional upper level energy will begin to sweep into the West Coast, this will have a moisture flow that will help develop some light to moderate rain showers over portions of Northern California and the Pacific Northwest by tomorrow evening.
