Saturdays forecast - Calm On this Friday night there are some heavy and quite intense showers across Lewis at the moment. Most of the rest of the Western Isles is dry apart from a few patches of drizzle. As the night goes on the rain is forecast to clear away. Overnight tonight its expected to be fine and dry but with plenty of cloud around. There is a good chance of some mist and fog patches forming. In the breaks in the cloud we could see some ice form. Into day time tomorrow and its forecast to be fine and dry day. With the chance of some prolonged sunshine. However There will be plenty of cloud around. Into the evening and the cloud is expected to thicken in and there is a risk of an odd light shower but for most it should stay dry. It should remain mostly dry as we go overnight into Sunday. Winds will be around 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 mph for the Southern Half around 10 to 20 mph for the Northern Half. Winds will be from a South Easterly and Easterly direction. Temps will range from 7C to 13C Sunrise and Sunset Stornoway - 08:13 and 16:06 South Uist - 08:11 and 16:06
