Geer Austins poetry and fiction has appeared in many journals, webzines and anthologies, including Big Bridge, miPoesias, Potomac Review and This Literary Magazine. He is the former editor of NYB, a New York/Berlin arts magazine. He led creative writing workshops for many years through the New York Writers Coalition, most recently at New Alternatives for Homeless LGBT Youth. About Fred Simpson... Fred Simpson is proud to be a native and life-long resident of New York City. He has lived and worked extensively in four out of five of its diverse boroughs. This experience significantly contributes to his eclectic style in poetry and music. He is a songwriter and accomplished percussionist who enjoys accompanying his own poetry readings and those of others with his drumming. His poems appear in a variety of publications such as Mobius, The Poetry Magazine’s 29th & 30th editions, The Venetian Hour/Dinner with the Muse Vol.II, Estrellas en el Fuego 2014 Anthology, Riverside Poets Workshop Vol. 13 and the Culvert Chronicles, an on-line publication. About Daniel Meltzer... Daniel B. Meltzer is a playwright, fiction writer, and journalist. He has won the O. Henry and Pushcart Prizes for his stories, a New York Newspaper Association Award for his essays, and a John Golden Award for his plays. His stories, memoirs, essays and poems have appeared in many journals, and magazines, including the Gettysburg Review, Confrontation, Southern California Quarterly, Northeast, Maisonneuve in Canada, the Irish Times in Ireland and others. His newspaper columns have been distributed by the Chicago Tribune and Associated Press syndicates, and have appeared regularly in the Villager, Westsider, and Chelsea Clinton News. His plays have been staged across the U.S. as well as in Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. They published and syndicated by Samuel French Daniel has been a newspaper editor, a TV news writer and production manager, a speechwriter, a professor of journalism, theatre and creative writing at Penn State University and NYU. He’s taught workshops at the Writers Voice, the Henry Street Settlement, at the Chautauqua Institution, and privately. He has been a community organizer. He founded and chaired the all-volunteer successful campaign to Save the Beacon Theatre in the 1980s that prevented the destruction of Manhattan’s oldest functioning movie palace concert hall which today is a successful performing space for many of the top music acts of the day. He lives in Manhattan. Daniel will read a story from his new collection, OUTSIDERS.
