Satyamev Jayate – great team work ! Hats off to Aamir Khan and his team ! Todays episode of Satyamev Jayate was really important as many people in India are not aware about the various types of TB i.e. MDR, XDR, TDR and the various tests related to it and the ‘culture test’. TB is a deadly disease growing day by day and to spread awareness about is very crucial. Many people are suffering from this deadly disease and are not even aware of it. Treatment at DOTS Centre, Govt hospitals and private hospitals are available yet people are deprived of their full benefit due to corruption, poor supervision. Thanks to Aamir Khan and his team of Satyamev Jayate for taking the initiative and salutes to those who have fought TB for years and survived like true warriors and the social workers who provide door to door and other services to TB patients. Hope this episode serves as an eye opener to the government and it starts to improvise and create a more effective curative and preventive program of the deadly disease as well as spreading awareness of it especially in the rural areas.
