Saudi Arabia warns against pressing Egypt on crackdown - In the news By Craig C. White Saudi Arabia weighs in on the unrest in Egypt. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal warned the US not to pressure the Egyptian army to stop the suppression of the pro-Morsi protests. Saudi Arabia was a close ally of Egypt’s former leader Hosni Mubarak. Saudi Arabia is against the take over of Egypt by the Muslim Brotherhood. Saudi Arabia doesn’t want the more Islamist government to spread to other countries around the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia wants to be an active part of a solution that steers Egypt away from a Muslim Brotherhood led government. In Isaiah 19:4 we are told the Egypt will receive a fierce king. This is just my observation but it may be that Saudi Arabia will supply Egypt with their new king! Isaiah 19:4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts. Ousted Egyptian President Morsi may fit Isaiah’s description of Egypt’s cruel lord, but he may not fit the description of the fierce king. Below are the Strong’s Hebrew Bible Dictionary definitions of fierce king. fierce: az, az strong, vehement, harsh: – fierce, + greedy, mighty, power, roughly, strong. king: melek, meh’-lek a king: – king, royal. We should pay attention to the term fierce king. The word translated king in Isaiah 19:4 is a Hebrew word meaning royalty. Ousted Egyptian President Morsi may not fit this description.
