Please see below job description and forward your CVs to: Shiroz Khan Regards, SLQS We are looking for 20 QSs from Srilanka for our different projects in KSA. Please find below the JD and PS for your reference. Reports to: Cost Engineer & Construction Manager for post contract work activities. Function: To assist the Cost Engineer/Construction Manager on post contract cost controlling and monitoring. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out the following duties and obligations in consultation with the Cost Engineer/Construction Manager for post contract work and assisting Subcontract Administrator in administering sub contracts. Post contract work: Productivity Monitoring The Quantity Surveyor working on site is required to principally carry out two main duties. 1 Prepare an accurate take off from working drawings (Shop Drawings) for the current work in hand on site. Schedule the Works accurately in preparation for site measurement and apply the correct codes to each work item so that the work achieved can be entered into the Company IT system. 2 Physically measure the actual work achieved on site corresponding to the above measure on a weekly basis corresponding to the crews assigned to carry out the work. Once this work is measured and entered into the system. The work is collated against man-hour targets and compared to the actual time recorded against the crew for that week and a cost factor is produced. This Cost Factor is the main management monitoring figure that the QS is responsible for in compiling. The Main Duties of the Site Based Quantity Surveyor are as follows:- · Receive drawings from designers, client and shop drawing department and measure quantities in accordance with standard method of measurement adopted for the project. Prepare and update working bills of quantities as required to maintain accurate records for cost control Interim payment applications, sub contract administration and final account. Enter and adjust re measure and reconcile with bill items or revised scope of works as applicable. · Should be competent in working with IT systems working and being able to enter dimensions and data into company IT system. · Must be trained and competent in CAD take off together with competency in traditional measure from drawings in entering and recording traditionally to be monitored and checked before proceeding to enter into company system and able to competently follow the company procedure for recording and tabulating and checking the measures taken. · To ensure that all the work is entered into the company recording system in the correct manner and sequence and that all items entered are correctly coded in accordance with the CSI coding system as used by the company · Regularly and diligently measure weekly on site as built work and enter into prepared record sheets for crew performance. (It is expected that each QS will record and measure 12 crews per week) · Provide accurate information to enable the Cost Engineer or Subcontract Administrator to prepare comparison and record of work achieved against measured quantity from bills of quantities within the weekly deadline cut off set by the company. · In cooperation with the, Cost Engineer/Subcontract Administrator, plan, initiate and ensure the implementation of record keeping systems in respect of cost monitoring and Variations to the Works, Site Instructions, Day-works, standing time, disruptions, idle plant, equipment, labour, delays to the programmed works etc in accordance with Company Procedures and the Contract requirements. · Prepare, submit and discuss as requested, with a view to obtaining early approval and payment, any new Contract rates in conjunction with supervisor. · Study the Method of Measurement for the Contract and put into effect the early submission and agreement of Final Measure and Final Accounts including pinpointing and notification of “measurement claims”. · Assist the supervisor as necessary, for the preparation of negotiated agreements with nominated, specialist and domestic Subcontractors and monitor the progress of their Works on site for the purposes of measurement and Interim Payment during the Contract period. · Ensure that the Subcontractor provides the correct reporting methodology in compliance with the Company Recording systems and assist the Subcontract Administrator in entering the correct Subcontract information into the Company accounting system. · Generally any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
