Sauk County will host a Clean Sweep Program to dispose of hazardous wastes on Saturday, June 7, from 8:30 a.m.- noon at the former Sauk County Landfill, located at E8795B Evergreen Lane, Baraboo. Commercial entities and farm operations in Sauk County that qualify as Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQGs) of hazardous waste are eligible to participate and are required to preregister by May 28. There is a fee for commercial entities but not for farm operations. Tires will be accepted for fees between $1-$25. Please see the flyer below for pricing information. Helping Hands Recycling will accept the following from households at no charge (donations will be accepted): Electronics, appliances, scrap metals. Sauk County residents can also take hazardous waste (no paint or electronics) to the Dane County Clean Sweep year-round. There is a $75 drop-off fee charged at the disposal site.
