Savanna Travels Returns..... and then I got to this village - TopicsExpress

Savanna Travels Returns..... and then I got to this village called Naasoni in the east mamprusi district and decided to pamper myself with a bowl of rice. I bought 1 cedi worth of rice and was expecting the woman to give me some tomato stew but to my utter dismay she was putting soup instead. when I enquired she told me the stew was for sale there and then my eyes popped out. But after trying to find out she told me tomatoes were very expensive so I reluctantly paid for the stew which was so small I nearly yelled at the vendor. moving round the place I saw inscriptions like no light no vote and no road no vote. my curiosity led me to understand that it was put there during the elections but as at that time there were only poles which were wired but no power and road was no better. so I asked whether they voted and they responded in the affirmative. I kept mute and moved on and soon it was time to go home. No decent vehicle apart from a tipper truck which was travelling from nakpanduri. i reluctantly sat in the bucket though it was threatening to rain and to prove i made a mistake, it started a few minutes after we left the out skirts of Naasoni. I got home to gushegu dripping wet and shivering like a guinea fowl......I learnt one thing at Naasoni and that is my situation maybe better than someones own so I should always be grateful to God.
