Save the Date!! On Saturday, October 18, 2014, the Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside Museum will host our 20th Annual Brook’toberfest event at the Saratoga Winery. This year, the theme for the event will be “A Taste & Sip of History.” We will celebrate Saratoga County’s rich history as a microcosm of American history, and will include a five-century tour through our cultural past, present and future. “Brook’toberfest! 2014: A Taste & Sip of History” will feature an array of amazing, locally-sourced foods selected and prepared by chefs and restaurants from around the County, influenced by local and national events such as the American revolution, colonial settlement, the industrial revolution, immigration, the Gilded Age and our country’s ever-evolving fusion of cultures and traditions. The event will also feature a deluxe silent auction and raffles with many packages and items donated by local businesses. Proceeds will benefit the Saratoga County Historical Society at Brookside Museum, a not-for-profit organization working to preserve the history of Saratoga County and providing ongoing educational and cultural programs for the entire community.
