Save the Tails Adoptable Dog of the Day: Jango the Miracle Dog After all he’s been through in his short 2 1/2 years (lonely life on a chain, neglect and probably worse, a painful embedded collar and its surgical removal, living in a shelter, being diagnosed with heartworm) Jango, this sweet 40 lb. rottie mix can still find joy, even while having to take it easy during his heartworm treatment. This friendly boy is just now learning how to play with toys for the first time in his 2 1/2 years on this earth. He’s learning that people care for him and he shows his gratitude by being affectionate, giving lots of kisses and cuddles. Jango loves the children in his foster family and likes to go on walks using his harness (no more collars for this fellow, at least for a while). Jango is also learning to play with his foster dog sister Sierra who’s become his buddy. Fortunately, life on the chain for him is now just a distant memory. The ability of dogs to forgive and live in the moment is astounding. Jango has an excellent foster but it’s time for him to find a forever home.
