Save this dog from being named Pickles!!!! Missing Sophie so much, I found it gave me hope to start looking for another puppy. Somehow I think that would have made her happy too. I thought it would probably take months to find one. But... Since she had been so healthy and lived for so long, I decided to try and find her breeder (we got her in Denmark - but that was 14 years ago). I could not find the breeder, but I found puppies from her grandmother who was an international champion by doing a Google search. I called the breeder - he even had a new litter of puppies and they were adorable, but he told me that the mother of those pups was very aggressive - which I guess is a good thing if you want a guard dog. But that sounded awful to me! So I called a breeder who I met a while back who has a great reputation for breeding healthy dogs with good temperaments. Lo and behold she had two puppies just born in a litter of seven who didnt have a family yet. I have fallen in love! So late yesterday we adopted one of them! It sure doesnt replace the kisses I got from Sophie all day long, and it will be about 6 weeks before we get to bring her home, but we are so looking forward to having our house not feel so lonely. Here is her picture. She is grey and white with black spots. I love the two stripes over her left eye and the tear drop under her right eye. To me, she looks like a Celtic Goddess - the kind with facial tattoos. To Steve she looks like Pickles. Please help me find a name or the poor thing will probably be christened Pickles!! LOL! :-)
