Save this post! For anyone planning on traveling here to Morocco in the near future. I am sharing my path with you so you can see prices, places and best ways to get around. First couple of days in Morocco in the Tangier Free Zone... Royal Air Maroc, the airline that shall forever remain infamous for loosing my luggage. (which I have just now retrieved after wearing the same clothes for 5 days) I highly recommend the Tangier Free Zone hotel for those coming into Morocco. Google it, its right next to the airport. A nice big private room and bath for about $30 a night, private bath... and the family that runs the hotel cooked me a feast for breakfast and dinner every night, amazingly practical place place. Hotel Ibis right next door does currency exchange if you need it. Made some good business contacts there, going back soon the president of the hotel wants to meet with me to discuss doing business in the Tangier Free Zone. Also want to mention a recommended cab driver that I will be using from now on to transport both myself, family and any FTW visitors from the Tangier Airport to Marina Smear/ Martil area: Cab fare is about 500 MAD ($45) for a 1.5 hour taxi ride in a really nice comfortable private luxury car with a beautiful honest man that speaks some english. Its the best way to arrive here. The cab drivers name is Hamid Kamal his number is 212663160597. He will meet you at the Tangier Airport holding up a sign with your name on it. He knows me, Ive used him twice so far and I told him that I will be bringing many people here... so tell him that Naima from Fix the World Sent you. Naima is my birthname, which happens to also be Arabic, so its going over well for me in this respect.
