Saw A Walk Among The Tombstones. As far as detective crime drama thrillers go, this doesnt do anything remarkably different or unique in the genre. However this story is told really well and got my attention all the way until the end, under the direction of Scott Frank. Of course this movie has Liam Neeson playing the badass role that we expect him too, and that adds to the entertainment value. This movie does stand out as having one of the more chilling and creepiest villains Ive seen on screen in a while. While the things they do to their victims are only implied on screen, what it is they are doing are absolutely horrifying. The female characters in general are not treated very well here in this very male driven story. A movie like A Walk Among The Tombstones that has disturbing subject matters isnt for everyone. There is a deliberate pace in this detective story that works great though, but at the same time its just a more cinematic version of the many procedural shows you can watch on TV. If just a bit more darker. Good movie.
